Aerial surveys
Cookie Notice
This page explains how cookies relate to NI Drone Surveys. It covers what these small files do, which ones this site relies on, which might come from outside services, and the settings you can use to manage them.
Cookies in brief
Whenever you open a web page, the site behind it can ask your browser to keep a tiny piece of data on your phone, tablet or computer. That piece of data is called a cookie. It usually contains little more than a reference code and perhaps a preference, such as a language choice or a note that a form has already been sent. On a later visit your browser hands the cookie back, so the site can pick up where things left off rather than treating you as a complete stranger. Some cookies vanish as soon as you close the browser window, while others remain for a set period before expiring. A cookie is plain stored data, not software, so it cannot act by itself or alter files on your device.
What this website sets
NI Drone Surveys does not use this website to follow your browsing, build a profile of your interests or show you adverts. No advertising cookies and no tracking cookies are placed by these pages. Reading about a drone survey, looking through the service information or moving between pages will not leave marketing files behind on your device from this site. Where a small file is ever needed purely so that a page loads or behaves properly, it serves that technical purpose alone and is not used to monitor you.
Files from other providers
A few parts of the site depend on services run by other companies, and those companies may store cookies of their own when their feature loads. The enquiry form is handled by Basin, which processes the details you type in so they can be passed to the specialist who carries out the drone survey work. Basin may use cookies to keep the form working and to help filter out spam submissions. Some pages may also show an embedded map, and the map provider can set cookies when that map appears on screen. These outside companies decide for themselves what they store and why, under their own privacy and cookie terms, which you can look up on their websites. If you have a question about how this site uses such features, please get in touch through the enquiry form.
Managing cookies
You stay in charge of what your browser accepts. Every mainstream browser has settings, often found under privacy or security, that let you refuse all cookies, allow only those from the site you are viewing, or block ones from other providers. The same menus let you view cookies already saved and delete some or all of them at any time. Many browsers also offer a private or incognito mode that clears cookies once the window is closed. Your browser's help pages will show the exact steps for your version. Bear in mind that switching cookies off entirely may stop certain features, such as the enquiry form or an embedded map, from working as expected.
