How NI Drone Surveys handles your personal details, cookies and the information you share when you book.

NI Drone Surveys runs nidronesurveys.co.uk, a site used by property owners, farmers, surveyors and developers across Northern Ireland who need aerial imagery, roof inspections or land mapping carried out by drone. This page explains what personal information reaches NI Drone Surveys through the site, what becomes of it and the say you keep over it. For data protection purposes, NI Drone Surveys acts as the controller of that information.

Nothing is captured about you unless you fill in the enquiry form. The form usually asks for your name, a phone number or email address, the site location or postcode, and a short outline of the job. That might be a roof nobody can reach safely, a field that needs measuring or a building under construction that needs progress shots. You may also mention timings or access limits. The form is powered by Basin, which receives each submission and forwards it by email. Please leave out payment card numbers, health details or anything else unrelated to the survey.

Each message is read so the drone survey you have in mind is clear, and it is then forwarded to the specialist firm that will fly the job and deliver the results. That firm will phone or email you itself to talk through price, dates and any flight permissions. Once the firm holds your details, it decides how to handle them and answers for that handling under its own privacy terms. Your details are never sold, rented out or added to marketing lists.

Handling an enquiry rests on legitimate interests: anyone who writes asking for aerial survey work expects the message to be acted on. Where the conversation moves towards a booking, taking steps at your request before a contract also applies. If a legal duty ever requires a record to be kept, that obligation provides the basis.

Enquiry emails are held for up to twelve months, which allows follow-up questions or a repeat booking to be handled, and are deleted after that. Ask for earlier removal and it will be done, unless a legal reason means a copy has to stay. The specialist firm keeps its own records on its own schedule.

UK GDPR gives you several controls. You can request a copy of whatever is held about you, have mistakes fixed and ask for your details to be wiped. You may also object to the way they are being handled, and ask for their use to be limited while a concern is looked into. If a complaint is not settled to your satisfaction, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk can review it.

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. A few technical files may be needed so pages load and the form submits properly, and these hold nothing that identifies you. If visitor analytics is ever added, this page will be revised beforehand.

To use any of these rights or raise a privacy query, send a message through the enquiry form on this website and say that it concerns personal data. A reply will normally follow within one month.
